I used to be obsessed with eyeliner. I had almost every colour of the rainbow to go with every look and any outfit. 

My obsession started out innocently enough, by watching a little too much of MTV's Laguna Beach. It quickly became a make-up staple for nights out on the town BH (that is - Before Hannah). On days when I wasn't in a rush, I'd even wear it more conservatively for work.

When I was little I had the gull to ask my Mom, "How come if there's Mother's Day and Father's Day there's no Kids' Day?"

Now that I'm a mom, I get it. My whole life is based around my daughter, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Even if sleeping on the floor beside her crib kills my back, and bending over to pick up food underneath her high chair breaks my back, and her constant demands of "Up!" result in my lifting her up...which kills my back.

Some days the only time I get alone is a quick shower, and even then Hannah sometimes bangs on the bathroom door. It's a long running joke that Chris and I don't look our age. In fact, in the year I got pregnant we BOTH got ID'd (at different bars, but both ID'd nonetheless). When I gave birth, I felt like the nurses looked at me like I should have had cameras following me as if I was part of the cast of Teen Mom (I suppose my doctor had checked my chart long ago and realized my true age, regardless of the fact I had a stuffed Raptor in my hospital bag). We may not look 30 (even if we have the IDs to prove it), but we at least look 24.
