In the late 80s and early 90s on any given Friday night, you'd find me with my Mom, Godmother and brother. We would go out for dinner and make sure we'd be home by 8 pm for the start of TGIF - one of the greatest line-ups in all of television, anchored by Full House. The same age as Stephanie Tanner, I immediately identified with the show. I loved to dance. In grade four, I totally had a crush on my teacher. I didn't get invited to any make-out parties though.
A couple of years ago I found Candace Cameron-Bure on Instagram and it was like finding an old friend. So when Fuller House was announced as a new original show on Netflix, I completely lost it. And this week, as a member of the Netflix #StreamTeam, I was able to access the first six episodes of the rebooted series. On February 26th, the entire world will be introduced to the Fuller family and given the opportunity to binge all the episodes at once, Have Mercy!
I'm not going to go into specifics (I'm not allowed to), but they somehow created a show with the same characters we loved back then, living their lives completely in the now. There are nods for old fans, but new fans (like my kid) will also really enjoy watching.

#NewYearNewView with Netflix Canada! #StreamTeam
So we are in the last week of January. How are your New Years resolutions going? I made four. I've broken three.
To be positive, the one I've kept is taking my lunch four days a week, and treating myself only one day a week. As opposed to taking my lunch once a week which I was doing in 2015.
The three I've failed at:
Don't keep pop in the house. (I failed so miserably that I made an order with Pizza Pizza that was pretty much Coke being delivered to my house last week when Hannah was sick).
Post to my blog once a week. This is my first post of 2016. And we are in the fourth week of it.
And last, but certainly not least, is to take back my Netflix. There's going to be more shows watched in the "Sarah" profile than there is in the "Hannah" one.

Barbie® Amaze Chase - New Episode and VIP Viewing Party Contest
When I was little, the only time I recall Barbie being on TV was during commercials. I would jump up and down and remind my Mom that Christmas or my Birthday was quickly approaching. (I kid you not, one year I actually "measured" Barbie's RV Camper from my television screen to a big box under the tree - let's just say I was NOT disappointed Christmas morning).
Ladies and gentlemen, Barbie is now on TV. The first-ever 22-minute episode of Barbie™ Life in the Dreamhouse is coming to Teletoon on November 23rd at 5PM and YTV on November 30th at 8:30 AM. In the episode, Barbie, her friends and family are getting ready to compete in the reality competition, The Amaze Chase! Five teams will be racing around to famous Barbie locations for the top prize.
Your child and their BFFs could watch them take on adventure from their very own Barbie® Amaze Chase party!

Winter storm? Netflix to the Rescue #StreamTeam
Hannah is only 2 so she doesn't get March Break. It's been a normal week at daycare for her, but not entirely. Yesterday the weather was so bad in Toronto my work closed early - as did Hannah's daycare.
Even with the long commute home, after colouring, blocks and playing trains, I still had two extra hours to entertain her before bedtime.
Enter Netflix. Netflix has so many great educational shows for us to watch and learn from together. One of Hannah's favourite series is Thomas & Friends (she even had a Thomas birthday cake!), so we were really excited when a new episode Creaky Cranky appeared. Thomas and Cranky the Crane compete to see who is stronger - and in the end upset Sir Topham Hatt (or as DD calls him "Topem At") when they ignore their duties of preparing for a very important party.

Netflix Canada - The Perfect Gift for Every Dad
This Sunday, we celebrate Father's Day.
Chris is a hands-on Dad who loves cooking meals for Hannah, playing Duplo with Hannah and being in charge of the bedtime routine - bath, bottle, bed (I get to do "books").
After Hannah goes to sleep, sometimes we'll turn on Netflix. Full disclosure, since Hannah was born we have seen ONE movie in theatres - Batman. Netflix seems to be our only connection to recent movies, and thank goodness they have a lot to watch!

Spend the Holidays Watching Movies with Family on Netflix (Giveaway)
According to new research from Netflix and Leger Marketing, watching movies is amongst the top five holiday traditions in Canada. Nearly half of those surveyed (47 per cent)—and 58 per cent of households with children—reported that they watching movies together is part of their holiday tradition. Holiday dinners, cooking, baking and shopping were also listed as top family traditions.
I know my holiday season isn't complete unless I watch Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! (the cartoon, not the Jim Carrey version), and I can't wait for Hannah to watch with me for the first time this year. However, with my subscription to Netflix I know I will be watching a lot more movies than just the Grinch this holiday season.
Netflix is the world's leading Internet subscription service for enjoying movies and TV programs. For one low monthly price, Netflix members can instantly watch movies and TV programs streamed over the Internet to PCs, Macs and TVs. Among the large and expanding base of devices streaming from Netflix are the Microsoft Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 consoles; an array of Blu-ray disc players, Internet-connected TVs, home theatre systems, digital video recorders and Internet video players; Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, as well as Apple TV and Google TV. In all, over 800 devices that stream from Netflix are available.
And in case you didn’t know, you can also give the gift of Netflix to friends and family - just head to https://signup.netflix.com/Gift to purchase a Netflix gift card. It's quick, easy, and may be the perfect gift for that person who has everything on their list (there's NO WAY anyone owns all the movies and TV programmes on DVD/BluRay that Netflix offers). According to the aforementioned survey, 42 per cent of Canadians shop online to avoid crowds and lineups, and by buying a Netflix gift card you can join them.
I am slightly obsessed with Netflix. Sesame Street, How I Met Your Mother and a slew of movies, new and classics? I think I could sit in front of my TV all day!
