Are you the next Mommyville MOM? (Giveaway)

Being a mom is definitely the toughest and most tiring job I've ever had. It's also the best and most rewarding job I've ever had. 

Since becoming a mom myself, I've realized that moms don’t always get the recognition they deserve, and that is exactly what Playtex is hoping to change through their MOM (Mom of the Month) Program.

Each month, over the next year, Playtex Mommyville will profile a mom and her words of wisdom in hopes of encouraging conversation and learning. The Mommyville Facebook page will periodically ask moms to answer a set of questions for their chance to shine and be featured as the Playtex MOM. 

To show you how easy it is to enter, I'm going to answer the current three questions they are asking.

Your little one can always make you laugh with the funny and sometimes embarrassing things they say. What have your little ones said that make you laugh out loud?

My daughter can only really say about 10 words properly, but even her limited vocabulary can't stop her comedic timing ensuring laughter from all the adults around her. One of her favourite words is "Uh-oh". From dropping food on the floor (on purpose!) to when the cat is up to no good, she knows exactly when to utter those two syllables to keep herself out of trouble or to the lighten up the room.

Being a mom can be one of the hardest and most rewarding jobs in the world. Moms go through numerous ups and downs daily, worrying and taking care of everyone around them, but at the end of the day it all seems worth it. What has been one of your most rewarding moments?

Most of my rewarding moments have to do with Hannah's happiness or sense of accomplishment, and sometimes I'm lucky enough to see both come together. Recently we went to a water park that had a toddler area. Hannah loves water and loves splashing so she had a permanent smile on her face. However, once she figured out she could put her hand over a stream of shooting water to stop it and move her hand to make it spray again, she was so happy and proud of herself. I can't wait for even more of these moments as she becomes more independent.

Those (just) baby and me moments are truly some of the most special, whether it's nap time together, breastfeeding or story time. What are some of your most cherished bonding moments?

My favourite bonding moment so far involves a hair brush. I was brushing my hair, and she asked to see the brush...and then she started brushing my hair! It was so sweet that she wants to take care of me the way I take care of her. She also finally started giving kisses recently, and the first one, although slobbery, will always be a cherished memory.
