The Ninth Annual Rock for Dimes Toronto takes place May 3, 2013 at the Hard Rock Cafe!
Six bands featuring groups comprised of Toronto business professionals will shake Club 279 at the Hard Rock Cafe to raise an estimated $25,000 for children with physical disabilities.
Bands will compete in front of an all-star panel of judges, including Tyler Stewart of Barenaked Ladies, Jeremy Taggart of Our Lady Peace, Andy Curran of Coney Hatch/SRO Anthem and Daryn Barry, co-owner of the Orange Record Label. Maie Pauts from Boom 97.3 will be the host and Justin Hines (www.justinhines.com) will be the opening act.
All proceeds benefit March of Dimes Canada’s Conductive Education® (CE) program and will support the Academy of Conductive Education (ACE), an early intervention program for young children living with neuro-motor disabilities. CE is an innovative program that blends elements of education and rehabilitation to improve the independence, mobility and confidence of children with disabilities, and has been especially beneficial to kids with cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and developmental apraxia.
Tickets are $10 a person. For more information or to order tickets online visit www.rockfordimes.ca/toronto or call 416-425-3463 ext. 7380.
